Heritage Auctions – Review, Complaint and Allegation

This consumer complaint against Heritage Auctions was first published by an anonymous source at a (now defunct) website called ComplaintsBase.com on Nov 11, 2018.

The title of the complaint was –

Heritage Auctions, Heritage Auctions Sold Me a Fake Ruby

and the user awarded a rating of 0/5 to Heritage Auctions based on his/her experience.

Here is the complete text of the review which has now been deleted from the source –

They sold me a fake ruby pendant. I purchased it for $10,000. The condition report claimed that it was genuine ruby no damage, polished and clean, and hardly worn. Once I received the necklace, it was not in the claimed condition at all. The chain was tarnished and eroding and the pendant was scratched. I had it inspected. It turns out that the ruby was hardly ruby at all. They scammed me.
